At the gunshow today, one of the local dealers had a stack of Rock River AR's cheap.
I got this 16" A4, for $695 OTD. MSRP is around $950 according to the Rock River site.
I immediately added the following goodies:
Aimpoint CompM2 4moa, Magpul CTR, Swan Sleeve with BUIS (medium lentgh).
I'm going to add a Magpul MIAD grip and trigger guard when I can get one.

Good deal, but that a Magpul CTR, not UBR.

Check the gas key staking.
Adjust as necessary.
Upgrade the extractor spring to a wolf and use a black extractor spring insert.
Is that a chrome-lined barrel version?
If so, I actually think that $700 is right about where the RRAs (and Bushmasters actually too) SHOULD be priced. I would suggest them to people all day long at that price.

I checked the gas key pretty much out of habit when we were doing the 4473...
Thanks for the reminder on the extractor spring. I need to order some from Brownell's... But I have some #60 o-rings floating around, I'll throw one in for now.

Nah, Wilson chrome-moly barrel.
I noticed that a vendor was selling Olympics for $699... +tax. I laughed, and I don't think I was quiet about it either. Knowing what I know now, I would have never bought my Oly... but they were new to the dealer, and he knew I shot... so he gave me the gun for like $725 (during the ban, when prices were a bit higher) and told me he'd throw in a "money back" guarantee... All I have left from that gun is the lower, which is my out of spec registered SBR lower
ETA: There were lot's of Colt's at the show (Big Town in Mesquite, TX), in both LEO branded and plain Jane variety... all starting around $1050...

I totally agree Rob. They should be priced around $700 as that would be a fair price for what you get.

The bigtown Gun show was alright this past weekend. I picked up a smoke grenade for 40 bucks and a few glock mags.
GREAT DEAL ON the RRA though.

Ok, changed my optics around and picked up some new magpul furniture at the fun show today. It's nice having them so often here! :D

I've been looking at lots of Mk18 Mod 0 pics lately, so I put the Aimpoint in a Midwest Industries standard mount on my SBR, and move the Eotech to the Rock River...
