What a fine old gentleman, and bless those folks for the the honor and respect they rendered to him.
Thank you for posting this. Men like Mr. Gundy are National treasures.
These old timers from WWII always seem to put me in awe.
That Old Soldier shoots better at range than most of us could hope to.

Not to take this too far afield, but I had an opportunity to go through the museum a couple of months ago on a TDY to Benning, and as a former Infantryman, I have to admit that I found it an extraordinarily moving experience. The facility is astounding, the displays extremely well-executed, and the breadth of coverage given to various eras and conflicts was exceptional. Should business or pleasure take you to the region, I would highly recommend a visit. It is not your typical budget-limited military museum. This place is an absolute shrine.
