Does anyone know how many MOA the Special Purpose reticle subtends? Likewise on the 1.5 x 5 VX3 Circle Dot same question for MOA on the dot.

The Circle Dot VX3 looks a lot simpler to me and the scope weights 2 ounces less which is attractive for my use.

Each stadia line on the SPR reticle is 2.5 mils. 1mil equal approx 3.4 moa. So that means the first stadia line on the SPR reticle would be between 350 to 450 yards depending on your load and zero. Using my match gun as an example I have a 50 yard zero and use XM193 @3150 so the first stadia line for me would be between 475 and 500. The reticle is not very usable for a 1.5-5 scope in my opinion.

Thank you, the simple circle dot in the VX3 seems more appropriate for this scope.

Just keep in mind you will need to remove the turrets caps to make elevation adjustments on the VX-3. The MK 4 has M2 BDC turrets. I have compared both side by side and both were excellent. I went with the MK 4 because the reticle and turrets met my needs and it has extra durability that admittedly I will probably never need.

I think you will be happy with either one.

I will order the VX3 Circle dot and see how it does.
