Is it just me or does anybody else think now that they finally came out with a laser for a HK they ****ed it up?
I haven't tried the unit and likely won't since there aren't any holsters available except for the CT / Mitch Rosen OWB.

Damned if they do and damned if they don't. Who can win, anymore? That laser combination wasn't built for us mere mortals, it was built for NSW and they decided to market it to us mortals. Don't like it, don't buy it - I'm not.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping they'd do something like this (http://www.crimsontrace.com/Home/Products/GLOCK/LG617/tabid/211/Default.aspx). I probably would have bought one.

Yup. That was just their quickest, easiest, cheapest solution to their hopes of winning a contract. It worked.

Seems like a neat piece of kit to me. The only laser grips that are worth the money are the ones for the 1911 or the J-frame. The Glock grips are just God-awful. This laser is not for beside the bed duty. As noted before, this laser was adopted as an IR unit for the SEALS so they could shoot people in the face at night.

Biiiig +1 on this. While I don't particularly like this implementation (for the bulk added I might as well spend the extra money & get an X400) CT hit a home run IMO with the M&P Lasergrips.

I installed the LG-645 on my HK45CT and like it. I'm a little north of 60 years old and my eyes aren't what they used to be. I certainly would have preferred a grip type laser like on the M&Ps and such, but they didn't come out with that type, so for me it's either use what they released or don't have one at all. I prefer HK pistols to all others so that works for me.
