Robar NP3 Plus Finish on Sig

Here is a picture of my Sig P228. It was the factory black Sig and I sent it to Robar and had them put the NP3 Plus finish on the entire pistol and all mags. This is when Sig was made in Germany. Just thought I would share.

Beautiful weapon--I love the older SIGs, and the NP3 will serve you well. Robar has great CS, too. I had some rust spots appear on a Robar-ed Glock slide (probably my fault), and they refinished it free of charge. No questions, they just told me to send it in.

Very nice. I have a 1990 P228 myself which is just one of those pistols that you never sell. I haven't refinished it yet, but I'm looking into it. How's the NP3 finish as far as gripping surface? I've heard that it is a little slick and hard to get a good hold of the slide sometimes.

Thanks. I like the finish as well. Very easy
to clean. I have no problem grabbing the
slide and pulling it back. I have had this gun since
early 90's. It has always been in great condition,
I just wanted to put NP3 Plus on it for the look and being
that I live in Florida, it will help protect from
the humidity.

I appreciate it. It is one of my favorite Sigs ever made. I carry the Sig P238 in my front pocket. Which I love as well for a backup.

Gun shows are a great place to find them. We've got hundreds of them that have been converted to shoot simunitions.

Do they strip the anodizing before applying?

Yes they do before they coat it. The plus has more corrosion protection.

I have an old P220 with Roguard/NP3. The external levers are NP3 and only the slide is Roguard, the frame is not Roguard.

I aquired this through SIG's CPO program about 5 years ago. Lucky find.
