Thats a Tier 1 chair right there. 6-position adjustable height, quick detach armrests for added mobility, do I see a magpul logo?

Ooooooo

Silenced shooting platform! I used one in COD and got 50 head shots from 2000 meters away.

Where can I buy one?

Not for nothing, but the men depicted in these photos managed to damage one MiG-23 and shoot down an SU-24. The downed jet was hit by a guy with zero training shooting what appeared to be a 2A-13 that had only one functioning barrel. Say what you want, but at least these people are fighting to get their country back from a lunatic mass-murderer. One of the bodies recovered from the SU-24 was that of a Syrian military officer. Sounds like Asad is trying to help crush this Libiya thing as fast as he can before something similar starts outside his window.

To be fair, it's not as if the jets were likely in the best working order to begin with, haha :D

That may be true, but those jets have been killing people in droves for a week now and to hit a jet traveling at hundreds of miles-per-hour with iron sights is no mean feat. It also takes brass balls to sit on that gun knowing full well that the pilot sees you firing and will likely come back around and torch your ass. I wonder how many people in this country would have the balls to do what these mostly undereducated and illiterate people are doing to get their country back. What I see in these photos are some pretty desperate people and while an equipped military is something to be feared, there is something to be said for the average Joe who shoulders a rifle to fight a jet or throws a molatov at a tank from close range. Guys like that are people who will fight you to their limits and beyond.

He needs to upgrade to a chair with a built-in cupholder.

It's interesting how getting an FAL or PKM is so much cheaper and easier in that part of the world, yet at the same time the need is that more obvious and immediate. It seems people in our country are much too comfortable to have it in their nature to be able to stand up for themselves--50% of them won't even vote when it's easy, let alone try something dangerous like shooting at enemy planes.

Some where in my Archives I have an Original US Govt. booklet on shooting down aircraft with a rifle...

If it is a helicopter, it says to aim 50 yards in front of the passing copter.

If it is a Jet, they say to aim 100 yards in front of the plane.

In both cases it says to shoot until the aircraft passes your sights.

It goes on to say that with a bunch of soldiers shooting, and the differences in the individuals perception of 50 or 100 yards, that there is a good probability that some rounds might strike the aircraft...

Does it give height/altitude to go along with those figures? Seems like a helicopter would be alot easier to **** with using small arms than a jet would

I probably should have stated that this technique is for an aircraft that is close to the ground, ie straffing you or flying nap of the earth...

Not for one at 20,000 feet...

A tactical office chair...is it better than a tactical wheelbarrow?

Yup. We joke but these guys deserve more respect than they are getting from the real armchair battalion.

These guys are awesome, and apparently great at improvising.

my father was a helo pilot in vietnam. when I was younger I went through some of the stuff in his "battle" trunk. He had a chicom or n. viet fieldguide. Inside it showed illustrations for shooting at enemy aircraft with small arms and one of the ways was to lay on your back and pick a point, about 3 lenghts, in front of the aircraft and let loose. So i'm wondering if the chair and the leg in the air are just improvisations of that tactic?

A couple of posters here have said what had gone through my mind a few times. These people are putting it all on the line. I find it pretty inspiring these guys are willing to go at it with nothing but their ak's, fal's etc against the much better equipped loyalists. Kinda reminds me our our country's humble start.
