I did some searching on this but can't seem to find anything solid...
I am seriously thinking about switching over from a G23 to an M&P 9C for CCW.
However for the gun to really work for me I need to use the magazines with the extended baseplateplate.

How hard is it to find the mags with the extended baseplate?
I've done some looking around and there seems to also be a lot of "C" mags with only a standard plate... and that's just not going to work.

Also:
Does anyone make an aftermarket grip extension?
I don't care if it's a baseplate or mag extension, as long as it gets the same length. For example, Magpul makes the Ranger plates for Glock pistol mags.... And I've seen some folks with mag extensions that also combine a grip extension (sorry can't remember the brand:().

If you want more rounds just go w/ FS mags and get the X-grip! Or no added rounds call S&W for the curved magazine baseplate. That will add more grip!

I would imagine that you could get the factory pinky plates direct from S&W.

I have a few you could have as pinky extensions do nothing for me except make the gun harder to hide

If you want the factory finger extension baseplates, just call S&W, they'll send them out to you.

I haven't been able to find M&P9c magazines with out the pinky extension.

Here are magazines with the extended base plates: G&R Tactical (http://www.gandrtactical.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=39504)

Here are both styles of baseplates available separately: Speed Shooter Specialties (http://www.speedshooterspecialties.com/catalog/search.php?submit=submit&categories=Smith+%26+Wesson+M%26P+Compact&subcategories=Magazine+Base+Pads)

Thanks for the links!
I seem to be about 50/50 on places selling with/without. Plus some folks also advertise the pistol with two mags, and in the picture 1 mag is plain, and one has the extension. Which further led me to believe that the extended baseplate version isn't always commonly found...

I may pm you...
I'm already working with a Glock 23, and the two grips with the extension seem to be more or less the same length, so it shouldn't be to much of an issue.

Brownells has two different makers of grip extenders.

I ordered some of these but they are on back order.

Hope that helps.

There isn't a lot of difference in the size of the guns when you add the M&P pinky extension.
