Sorry to ask a stupid question but I don't want to mar up my new Brakeout when installing it.

The directions say...... "Set the torque wrench for a value between 20 and 30 ft-lbs. Position the torque wrench and appropriately-sized adapter as far to the rear of the wrench flats as possible and torque the Brakeout™ compensator onto the host weapon’s barrel."

My question is.........Is there an appropriately-sized adapter I need for installation/what size wrench do I need.....I ask this because I don't see any really obvious "flats" on the Brakout for a wrench to fit onto.

Below is a link to the Brakeout installation instructions........

Thanks for you help

the flat is in between the 2 ports. i pretty sure its a standard size on the ar15 multi tool. put your torque wrench on the multi tool to turn. dont worry about marring it will happen anyway if you are using a suppressor. good luck!

Find the shim combo that gets you within 15-20 degrees of center from hand tight and you'll be close to the proper torque when you use a wrench. You can find shim combos here.
