Hellfire

Hello all, about 2 weeks ago I was awakened in the middle of the night by one of our car alarms going off inside our garage. I took my G30 out of the night stand and attempted to chamber a round, as I proceeded to the garage, I noticed the trigger was still to the rear. I assumed that I made a weak attempt on the slide and attempted it again. This time as I pulled the slide back, a round was ejected. I couldn't figure out how a round was chambered yet the trigger remained to the rear.? Later when I retrieved the ejected round I noticed that it had a very light primer strike on it. I know that the firing pin stays in the fired position as long as the trigger is back, so it isn't surprising that the primer had a mark on it, but I am confused as to how this whole situation occurred and how I can go about fixing it.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thank- you.
