So I just received my Gear sector offset mount for Scout light and it came with some Vibra tite VC-3 threadlocker. Never heard of this stuff till now. Is this any better or worse than locktite blue? I have a tube of locktite and I am wondering which one to use now. Anyone have any experience with this VC-3 stuff?

I had gotten some of the Vibra Tite with an ADM mount I bought. I had used it on the mount screws and after one range session all of the screws were loose.

This may have had something to do with the copious amounts of oil ADM mounts are covered in, but I lost my faith in Vibra Tite. The stuff reeks too.

Both work equally well IMO. When using Vibra-TITE remember that is needs to dry before you insert the fastener whereas Loctite is installed while still wet.

I would use Vibra Tite as a preferance. Used a lot in the aircraft Ind.. Plus, if you remove and reinstall the fastner it will relock itself. Neat stuff.
