Paracord sling extension?

The sling on my AK (standard issue) is a little short. I'm trying to add a paracord extension for it. Has anyone tried this and if so, what type of knot did you use to secure it to the stock?

I fnd the traditional Eastern bloc slings to be small as well. Ditched them for the BFG VCAS. Also BFG has wire adaptors that might help you out.

I did manage to rig it up with some 550 cord but then I found an old VTAC in my toy box. Problem solved.
