Is anyone using the Elcan M145 scope, 3.4 x 28mm, on their M4 or M4 type carbine? I recently came into one at a price to low to pass up. Interested in observations from others who have used them on a M4. Mine has the M240/M249 reticle.

Yes, I realize the Elcan scopes are bigger/heavier than my 3.5 x ACOG or Aimpoint scopes.

Are you wanting to sell the scope? Does it have the 7.62 Recitle? thanks

Big bulky thing, we had them on our SAWs. Never seen someone use it on an M4 though, very interesting. Do you have a pic?

You could give me one for free and I would not use one on my M4... if I had a SAW, I would not use it on that either.... just a very poor design that has been surpassed by many better options.

From their ad:

Even on the darkest nights, flares or the moon will provide the the low level tritium range finding reticle sufficient illumination to maintain the effectiveness of the ELCANŽ.

Before you buy, determine whether you can have the tritium replaced in the U.S. Shipping to Canada requires jumping through many hoops. I had several Elcans years ago and sold them to partially pay for TA31Fs which do not have to leave the country for refurbishment.
