I got one of these recently and I was disappointed to find that the firing pin just kind of rattles around loose inside of the grip until the tip of it comes out the bottom of my MIAD. I was thinking about securing the firing pin but wrapping some electrical tape around the firing pin and grip core. Anybody else have this same problem and/or have a better solution to keep the firing pin from rattling around loose inside my grip?
Stab a couple of ear plugs on the ends?
small strip of duct tape or masking tape...pretty simple.

Tape or even a rubber band, around the upper part of the grip core.
This thread made me think of another mod which I thought was pretty cool:

I just put a single piece of electrical tape around the bolt to keep it nice and snug inside its housing and then taped the firing pin to grip insert.

I used two zip ties.
One was used around the barrel that holds the bolt. The second was used all the way around to hold the firing pin. Works just dandy.
The other advantage to this, is in the side slot for the bolt I keep a firing pin retaining pin that is held by the zip tie.
O-ring. Also aids tremendously in the retention of the core.

That is an awesome mod! I'll be doing it when I find some time...
I just put a wrap of electrical tape on mine. I figured with the heat we have around here, the electical tape would have a lesser chance of leaving residual adhesive on things than something like duct tape.
