I love mine, but seem to be the only one using one. Most folks around here are going EOTECH.

I had a C-More on an AR15 about six years ago and hated it.

It was difficult to zero.

The new ones I hear are easier to adjust.

I now have an EOtech on my AR.

It's a very popular Hollywood optic. Never seen anyone use it around my way. Lots of Eotechs and Aimpoints and Vortex's now adays

Back in 05-06' down range the arms room was full of M68s, EOTech (552s) and C-Mores enough that you got to pick and try which you liked. The C-Mores as mentioned were hard to zero as they had no felt clicks for adjustment. They seemed to hold up well.

What did you end up rolling with the majority of the time CD?

Personally, I could not ever foresee running the cmore's and 552's in the face of an Aimpoint option. Just me though:)

use them and have no issues w/ them,
Not as robust and well made as other RDS.

I use c-more's on my game guns. I like the filed of view they give. Not as robust for banging around though as the lens is not protected by anything but plastic.

On my M4A1 normally carried a TA01NSN, Bulgarian AK47 with Surefire rail a M68, NM M14 with Springfield Armory Scout rail with a EOTech. Kept the M16A2 slick as it was my training rifle for the All Army Match when we redeployed. Nice being a senior E8 in Group is that you get some freedom. Normally signed out about a dozen guns when deployed from M1911s, M79s, M240, MG3, M82, Mk13 etc.

I do like the Aimpoints as I first started using them in SFARTEAC in 98' (two month CQB course) and have them on my personal ARs.

Really? I haven't done any scientific polling, but there seem to be a lot of Aimpoint users around here too.

^^^

That's not even a C-More....that's some $40.00 pos.

As stated, the C-More isn't nearly as rugged as an Aimpoint M2/M3/M4/Micro.....

They're popular with the 3Gun and USPSA crowd.

The ones I've used and seen have been difficult to zero, and tend to have wandering zero's as well.

These things are popular in the competition shooting community. You'll see a lot of them riding on top of Open guns.

However, they aren't ideal for combat oriented firearms as they simply don't have the ruggedness.

Probably so. I guess if it can be made the Chinese can make a knock off a week later. Anyone see any Aimpoint pro chicom specials yet?

I have seen a few C- mores at the range and one that was 86'd when a guy clipped a barricade. After that is was a paperweight.

Thanks for the excellent reply, I had hoped you would elaborate like you did above so nicely on some of the options since I imagined you have great discretion at what went into your kit prior to heading down range. That's neat to hear about the AK47 w. surefire rail and m68. I imagine you prob. would have the supplemental CQBR upper packed in your kit to go along w. your m4a1 upper....if so did both share the Acog?

Gotta love that goodie box...

C-Mores I've seen have been less than stellar. They aren't very durable and don't keep a zero. Multiple (critical) failures observed in classes and on duty guns, and in harsh weather.

Best for sport/hobby use only.
