View Full Version : Surefire FA762K -- any intel?
Just got a copy of the SF catalog. Listed as "New" is the FA762K.
A 7.62x51 suppressor meant for 7.62mm rifles and carbines...
Weight: 19.0 oz
Diameter: 1.5"
Length: 8.4" (added to weapon: 5.6")
Would love to know how it sounds, what it costs, if it's available for purchase, how long is the wait?
19 oz is a kick ass weight for a 7.62N suppressor, especially if it's quiet. :)
Anyone? Anyone?
I heard the price is about $1800 retail.
Looking at my price sheet, retail is actually $1,875. I can of course save some coin though. ;)

I guess a superlight 7.62 can demands a premium, but $1800....
Whew that's steep.
I should have mine set up on the TRG in about 4-6 weeks. You are welcome to come down a shoot it.

The "K" model? If so, I may swing down and do some side-by-side with the YHM's...
Does the barrel have to be profiled to fit it or is it a muzzle type attachment like the 5.56K?
Yep, 762K. I'll let you know when it's done.
It's a muzzle adapter that does not extend back over the barrel. It's basically a bigger 556K. The only reason I need to have my barrel rethreaded is because the TRGs come threaded metric and the only metric adapter SF offers is for the 338 can. I'm also having the barrel cut back to 20" while I'm at it.

Let me know, I'll drive down.
