Anyone remember seeing this at shot?

I was looking at the GFA until I saw this. I really like using the large backstrap for my Gen4 19 but I get horrible slide bite with it. I switched to the medium size this past weekend for a local class and still managed to get some small "nibbles" on my hand. Oddly enough I don't have this problem with my Gen3...

Anyways, does anyone have any info on these? An ETA? I'm very anxious to try a large backstrap with beavertail...

Holding a gen4 next to a gen3, it becomes glaringly obvious how much higher in the grip you can get with the gen4. I'm interested in this grip for my gen4...

At a recent armorers class, the instructor hinted that they would be available soon. He had one for us to see.

FWIW, I was told over the weekend 3 to 5 months.

When they release this for the Gen 4 G19 I will definitely buy one. i tried the whale tail for the Gen 3 and eventually took it off because it made the grip too thick.

There were Glock reps at my dept this Weds, the 27th, and they had one. I got to play with it on a G22 and, while it felt ok, I can't say that it did anything for me without running ammunition through the gun to see how it really feels and functions.

They did say that they're not out yet but coming.

I think that the the Beavertail will mostly interest those of us who experience slide bite.

The Glock folks didn't bring the Gen 4 backstrap w/beavertail to the NRA convention. I was there Friday and looked for it and asked one of the reps about it. He said that they did have it at SHOT and that he wasn't sure why it wasn't being shown at the NRA show.

With the apparent warts the Gen. 4's have it seems a little odd they can't make the backstrap w/beavertail available.

If you want a Glock with a beavertail, why not get an M&P?

Because I want a gun that works I guess. At least in .40 caliber if I have to take one.

That said I don't really have much interest in the beavertail for the pistol. Just putting out the info that it's evidently still coming.

The .40 Glocks have had more documented reliabilty issues than any other glock pistols. And the gen4 .40 glocks are still too new to know if they fixed the issues with the gen3 .40 glocks.

The M&P40's have earned an excellent track record in-terms of reliability since the initial teething problems were resolved years ago.

I'm very well aware of all the glock issues from generation to generation.

Just to clarify I don't want any of these guns. M&P, Glock .40 cal 3rd gen, or Glock 9mm 4th gen. I'm just getting ready to have to face a situation I dont' want to have to face here.
