Anyone know if Vltor has a recommended torque setting for their clamp on gas block? Or is the torque setting set at "crank the shit out of it"

My advice is to pay a gunsmith to pin it. That way you don't have to worry about the screws. It should not cost more than $30.

I would refer to whatever the industry standards are for the screw size being used.

Screws often loose gripping power when over tightened, the threads can be weakened.

I agree with having it pinned. IMHO that's $30 well spent. If you already have the clamp-on gas block, torquing it down isn't going to be the key, Rocksett will be. That is not something you want to come loose.
