Is it possible for non-LE people like myself to get 5.56 TAP 75gr anywhere?

I promise I won't do crime with it.

Thanks!

I suppose so. I've seen it for sale on gunshop shelves. Haven't bought any yet, don't have the right twist rate for that heavy, gonna get some of the 55 gr TAP loads.

Thanks, but those are .223. The 5.56 TAP is higher pressure/velocity, and I think Hornady markets it only to LE.

Try G&R as the are a sponsor here, if they can't do it, then try ammunitiontogo.com, but I bet Grant can hook you up.

Call Hornady, speak to the LE sales folks and see if you can buy it on a letterhead order.

Yes, you can. But, I think based on the OP question he is not L.E. FYI- military and DoD contractors can also purchase direct from them as well as I bought 400 rds. last month. You have to sign a waiver stating that you understand that the ammo is intended for 5.56mm weapons, yada, yada, yada.

I bought a little from Ammunition to go, but it's too expensive to test fire or shoot.

It's more of a decoration in my gun cabinet.
