It looks good. I don't know about the but pad, but that's just me.

Makes me think about buying a another Marlin and sending it your way, but I have said that before.

So I can't tell is the scope on a quick release, or is there a hole in those mounts so that you can use the irons without removing the scope?

Sweet 336.

Outside of military rifles, lever guns are my favorite.

The stuff you make reeks of sex,,, strengthens the utilitarian nature of the lever gun..

Im going to have to send you my guide/336 and find a 1894 to have a mini guide made

GOD I HATE YOU... well the pocket book and possibly the misses do

I thought you couldn't get the winged rear sights from XS for the 336? Did you have to do something special to it to get it to work? Really nice rifle, by the by. I'd love to have a 1894 in .357 with a similar set up. I'd put an RMR or a Accupoint on it, but that's about the only difference. Thanks for the pics.

I think you may have mentioned it elsewhere in another post, but what are the particulars on this optic?

It is a Leupold scout scope that we did to match the gun.

Do you refinish the metal? It looks a bit more gray than I've seen, but could obviously just be the picture.

I'm a big fan of your lever actions though. Another great one here!

The scope is finished to match the rifle.

OK, now that is funny. It's the same scope we put on my 336, but I didn't even recognize it after the refinishing job. Guess I need to pay closer attention. =]

The finish on the gun and scope is a custom color of CERA-KOTE.
