Ok so here is how my AR sits now:

RRA upper with a BCM BCG and a DD CHF barrel, RRA lower with a RRA LPK, A2 stock, MOE fore arm and it now has a MOE PG. Magpul rear sight.

Here is what I have planned next.

Replace trigger group with a DD or BCM when I can find one in stock. Besides the obvious, the RRA has a nasty reset.

Shave the front sight down to fit under a FF tube.

Replace the MOE handguard with an Apex Machining rifle length tube, this one, http://www.apexcncmachine.com/store.php?seller=ApexMachiningCompany&navt1=19974&pd=112348 , with the top rail only or this one, http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=2563 . I don't wish to remove the front sight to install a FF tube since Daniel Defense was nice enough to install the bbl and all on my upper and the front sight pins are extremely tight so I want a tube I can slip over and do not want a lot of rails.

Replace the birdcage flashider with an AAC.

Drop a 1-4 power scope on it.

After all that I think it will be where I want it.

Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

Why are you replacing the hand guards? I don't think you're gaining anything by going to the Apex over using rail sections on the MOE.

He's going to shave down the front sight and replace the carbine handguard with a free float rifle length tube.

OP: Sounds like a good plan but which AAC muzzle device are you planning on using? Are you going to be using a suppressor?

I am thinking of just running the Blackout non mount version. I would love to get a suppressor down the line but it isn't in the foreseeable future. All I see buying for this after these mods is ammo, and lots of it. And a new sling. Oh and a UBR.

Seems to me it is hard to buy just a basic trigger group without buying the whole LPK. Maybe look into really upgrading and put a Geiselle in it.
