View Full Version : Handgun painting?
I've seen the thread on rifle painting, but what's the procedure for painting a handgun?
Anything to tape up?
I think if you duracoat you can go over the moving parts-it goes on thin and is naturally lubricating
if you're talking the krylon touch i'd detail strip the slide and frame and tape them up so nothing gets inside

I took the slide off of my M&P and just took the barrel out and taped the hole for the barrel, ejection port and bottom and the parts of the sights I didn't want coyote brown and just went to town...
Another thing that works well is hanging small parts with fishing line or a fine metal wire. If you use paint that needs baked - you can hang them directly from the oven rack by tying it to the grates.
