I know that pinned gas blocks are the preferred method but was wondering if a screwed in place gas block would work just fine if it was installed with red lock-tite and then staked like the gas key? Just wondering if anyone has tried this with any such luck I was starting to plan a build and have been looking at low profile gas blocks and most that I find are of the screw in place type.

If pinning is out of the question, with something that high heat, I would use Rocksett, which is a high temprature thread locker.

I haven't seen anyone stake a gas block screw.

Any thread locker will give when enough heat it applied and given the geometry of some low-pro gas blocks, it may be hard to get a good staking. I don't see any reason to dick around with thread locker when you can have a low-pro block pinned for ~$35

I still need to order the jig to drill my Vltor for a pin
