Just had my smith install the Ram(Reset assist mechanism) On my M&P9 This rather inexpensive and simple device gives my pistol a posative trigger reset. This was the main complaint for me on the M&Ps and now its tons better. This is not a product review but if your looking to get a sharp reset for your M&P check it out.
I'd like to get rid of the mile long takeup on my APEX'd M&P.

Apex is working on something that might help.

Is there any word on when and what it will be? I installed my Apex hard sear and USB and it made the trigger pull smooth and crisp but........ the pre-travel is unacceptable. As of now I'm thinking I might reinstall the original hard sear and just keep the Apex USB in until something can be done about the super long pre-travel characteristics of the trigger.
The matter of the pre-travel has become more irritating to me recently because I got a .40c model to complement the .40FS with the Apex parts in I mentioned above. The c model has a stock trigger and there is very little pre-travel before the trigger breaks.

**This kit is recommended for competition use only**
This kit comes complete with everything you need to upgrade your M&P to reduce pretravel, over travel and set the trigger pull to a smooth 4lbs.
Uh, no thanks.

I've seen this product and it is very interesting. But I was hoping for something to fix the long pre-travel on my existing Apex hardsear upgraded pistol without having to buy another whole trigger set.

I put a couple hundred rounds on mine today, install was a breeze. In my slow fire strings it made a huge difference in being able to prep my trigger properly. I still managed to outrun my trigger during controlled pairs though. Toward the end of my session I was starting to figure it out but my second shots were still slower than my G19 with a NY1 and - disconnector. I need more dryfire practice for sure.

Then wait for the ~5 pound duty spring.
Hi all,
The kits are being shipped with springs that bring the pull weight up into the 4.75-5 lb pull. I had the new sear springs fabricated and they arrived in time for us to include in the packages. There is also a letter from me describing what pull weights you can expect by changing out various springs.
