Installing Trijicon Brand Lens Caps for ACOG

I've got a new RCOa4 and some Trijicon flip caps and I cant for the life of me get them on - it seems to be overly difficult.

Is there a good way to get the caps onto the optic?

I had the same problem a few weeks ago when I picked mine up. I put the cap over one edge and then pretty much had to force it over the other side to get it on. They fit extremely snug on my ACOG. Honestly, I felt like I was going to break it during the process but it all came out ok. Hope that helps!

I just use the front one, but installed both. It is normal.

Did you take the ARD off to install it then put it back onto the optic or just install it while its on the optic?

I took off the ARD so I wouldnt be putting any pressure on the front lens while installing the cap.
