I've always been curious...is the barrel of a Gov't Model rifle light or heavy underneath the handguards?

Thanks.

I believe I was told when I purchased mine that it is a Medium Weight Wilson Chrome Lined chrome molly...I just sold a colt with a "pencil Barrel" and it definitely not that animal.

If interested in the Government Model here is an article on the rifle...
