Anyone seen or tried one of these yet? I'm wanting to setup my M1A as a long range precision rifle. However I am on a budget and don't think I can afford the JAE stock. I'm relatively new to precision rifles so I don't mind that this isn't the best thing out there. I just want something to get me started..

Aside from my personal feelings about such a blatant rip off, I think the ergos are sound. IMO just shows a complete lack of innovation, could have at least changed it enough to make it their own vice riding the backs of others. OK rant off lol.

Not much info on the construction and at the pricepoint I'm going to guess its not structuraly the same as the JAE. The overmolded aluminum chasis is one of the attributes of the JAE that improves the accuracy of the M1A/M14.

If improved ergos is your goal this would work well but it may need to be bedded if you are looking for improved accuracy as well.

Again not much about the actual construction but based on price I'm assuming its just a molded solid chunk of plastic...think choate A5 knock off.

Over the years of shooting and reloading etc. I have tried the same method. Just to get me started....

There is a reason for the saying "buy once, cry once." You will not be saving yourself ANY money to buy 2 or 3 of the same thing. This board has a HUGE wealth of knowledge and can easily steer you in the right direction. The overwhelming refrain from the serious members here is "DONT BUY JUNK"

That stock is a blatant rip off of another company's hard work and ingenuity. Pro Mag has seen fit to make a piece of crap and cash in on the look. Don't fall for it. It is a waist of $300

You asked for opinions.

There's nothing, not one damn thing, that I'd trust from Promag.

I believe Promag is Latin for "Delivering your weapon to an aggressor when he takes it off your corpse after he shoots your ass dead because your shitty mag fails." :D

I had my M1A in a JAE and it was worth every penny

if youre that strapped for cash, look into a TROY Tactical Stock for your M1A
