I have a chance to purchase a DPMS (yeah, I know they are not great) Sportical for $600.00 out the door? Is it a good deal, knowing I will need to upgrade some parts like the BCG and add BUIS to it?

No. Even at that price, it is not a good deal.

Save your money. You'll need more than a BCG. You still have to deal with an inferior barrel and FCG. Can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
