A friend from work and I are trying to find Colt 6920s to buy as our duty rifles to replace our issued Shrubmasters. I cant find anywhere with one in stock unless its 1400+ dollars. Anyone know where some are that are a decent price?

Usually there are a few on Gunbroker for $1,150 or so, but right now the best number going on a new one is $1,300.

Bud's was selling them for $1,200 but they're out of stock of both them and several other models, which is somewhat odd. Things must be picking up again.

CDNN if they have them. Free shipping and I don't think they charge for a CC. I read a few posts on other forums from people that they had a good experience with them. I tried to get one but they were out of stock a few months ago. The guy on the phone was very nice. I bought some small stuff from them and they seem like a good company.

I ended up finding one on Gunbroker for $1100 but had to pay shipping. It was from a gun shop in WI that had a bunch. So if you keep your eyes open you can find one cheap. $1100 seems to be the absolute lowest but many are selling them at that price.

One word of advice with Gunbroker and Colts: make sure you email them and confirm that they are not just NIB but recently manufactured. I almost went with another guy who had one listed as NIB but found out it was manufactured in 2005 or 2006.
This was an issue with me because it meant it had the larger FCG pins. The guy I went with sent me the serial # and I checked with Colt to see if it was GTG.

Colt said the change started in 2009 with serial #'s in the 50000's but at that time SOME were still going out with the larger pins. She said to try and get one in the 70000's to be absolutely sure. Mine was just over 70000 and the date on the bag and barrel is May 2009!

So there are "new" 6920's being sold that are actually a few years old.

Well I need it here ASAP to get into the private purchase rifle program. I'm gonna pay out the ass for fast shipping but I need it in hand by the end of the week. So probably not gonna go for gunbroker.
