I have a LMT 12 inch SBR I just bought from Grant- which rear QD sling mount can y'all recommend?

If by rear, you mean receiver end plate, then... noveske or Daniel defense. Both are solid units.

Agreed.
I have been using the Troy Pro Grade Sling Adapter lately just because I don't have to switch out the receiver end plate to put it on.
I have a Daniel Defense Heavy QD for the rear, and a MI Heavy QD on the front. Both work great. On close inspection, I think the MI looks more rugged, but definitely heavier in feel. Sling mount for the rear plate is DD QD plate. Works well, allows for easy transitions.
I agree with the dd plate, although it's the only one I've used.

I have a Noveske model.
Noveske is steel so it was easy to stake.
I like it a lot.
The Daniel Defense one is aluminum.
I don't know if you can stake it or not as I have no experience with them.
I don't understand getting the DD QD endplate over the Noveske. The Noveske endplate is cheaper and made of steel. Seems like it would wear and hold up better than the aluminum DD plate.
I used some blue loctite. Seems to be holding up well thus-far, though I've not put it to hard use yet.

Agreed, but I didn't know they made one at the time
Aluminum is lighter though.

Cheaper, I heard that!
I lucked out and found one new, (or at least unstaked), for $22 shipped on EE.
It staked just like a standard GI end plate.

How does .2 ounces even matter?

It matters .2 ounces. Who knows, OP might be concerned about the .2 oz LOL.
To me it doesn't matter. I got a good dealer discount through midway, they didn't have any other appealing options.
I have two of the DD units and don't think you can go wrong with either the DD or Noveske.
That said my future builds will use Noveske units due to the lower cost, lower profile and steel construction. I'm not running out to change my DD units though.

I have a GG&G with angular sling swivel. It's steel and slightly lower profile than the Noveske, and the angular swivel bumps my hand less.
I have three Noveske QD plates. They're Good to Go. I'm sure DD would be fine too. I think the Noveske is thinner.
Currently the only experience I have is with the DD that came stock on my rifle. Like all their stuff it seems top quality. Only minor negative I can state is that with a QD sling hooked up you can't collapse the stock all the way in; you can only get it to lock on the first slot out. Not sue if this is the case with the Noveske but that's what I'm going to try on my bcm in progress.
another vote for the Noveske.
i personally would get the noveske. solid and steel, cant beat that for the price
Or you can get the size of the Noveske made from aluminum from Daniel Defense.

I have them from Noveske and Daniel Defense. Prior to the release of the Noveske I bought all DD (they stake very well, FWIW), and now that the Noveske are available I buy only those.
For those that can't, or won't, take apart their lower the Tango Down PR4 (http://www.skdtac.com/TangoDown_Sling_Mount_PR4_Ambi_QD_p/tng.207.htm) is a good option as well.
Noveske has been the one I've used, works great and stakes easily.

Looks like DD has made their units much thinner than they used to be. That looks like it would allow the stock to fully close. FWIW the Noveske is about half the price. http://dsgarms.com/ProductInfo/NVQDE.aspx
I've also used the Troy slip on QD mount.

It has attachment points on both sides. I beloved the PR has them o. Both sides and the rear offering the most options. It is also the most expensive option.

The DD includes a QD swivel, so the price is a lot closer than you think.

Yep, also looking around the DD website they may not even make the bigger endplate with sling swivel that I am using. Looks like it could have been replaced with the thinner one, so that would make the choice simpler.

Agree, I recently picked up 2 of the newer style DD rear plates with swivels for around $35 each.
Nice part, does exactly what it is supposed to do and yes clears the collapsed stock(SOPMOD) with room to spare.
Haven't tried the Noveske version, but would imagine it is the same as far as fit/function.
Does anyone know if any of the units being discussed here limit rotation?
The buffer tube limits rotation.
Does anyone know if any of the units being discussed here limit rotation?
The DD doesn't, no need for it on a rear receiver end plate, IMHO it would be a negative in that application/location.

As Todd mentions, the receiver extension keeps the swivel from rotating around, so adding rotation limiters in the cups would be needless additions and drive up cost.

Holy crap! They are proud of that.

Yeah they're about ten bucks so it does make it closer in price.

Yeah they are pricey. That's why I went with the Troy. It does offer a third QD point. I dont thi k anyone else has that ootion. It is a good option for folks not allowed to modify their guns. I ended up with three Noveske's for a few bucks more than the price of one TD.

+1 for the Noveske minimalist. Works perfect.
I was just wondering if this would be an alternative to those out there looking for a QD swivel mount. I know absolutely nothing about this company I just stumbled across it and thought I would share.

It's aluminum, and will prevent closing the stock all the way.
