The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office is hosting Trident Concepts Comabtive Carbine 2 Course, Instructed by Jeff Gonzales in Brainerd, MN, October 4-6, 2011. The course is open to LE, Mil, and responsible citizens, to apply please go to www.tridentconcepts.com to submit an application form. The cost to each student is $550, payable to Trident Concepts.

Brainerd is located in central MN and has a lot of hotels and dining in the area. The Crow Wing County range is a great facility that offers a clean outdoor range that is great for a carbine class. I was in Jeff's carbine 1 class last year and we had wonderful weather and it was a great class. Here is additional information about the course:
Trident Concepts, LLC will be conducting their 3-*‐day Combative Carbine,
Level 2 (CC2) in the greater Brainerd, MN area on October 4-*‐6, 2011.
The cost per student is $555.00 and deposits are due at the time of registration with full payment no later than thirty-days (30) prior to course date. This is course is unrestricted and open to active/retired law
enforcement officers, military personnel and properly vetted private
citizens.

Course Description:
The Combative Carbine, Level 2 (CC2) is an intermediate 3-day course focused on hammering out the rough edges to the modern gunfighter. It will instruct the carbine's core fighting skills by using full range sessions and high repetitions to continue forging correct technique. The course will progress to more challenging drills that will increase the student's shooting speed and combat marksmanship. Graded evolutions throughout the course provide instant feedback to the student on skill development, technique deficiencies and overall ability. The linear progressive training exercises refines the combative fundamentals in order to progress to more advanced courses.

Gear Recomendations:
-Tactical carbine (with tactical sling and red dot sight)
-Tactical pistol
-1,800 rounds of functional carbine ammunition and 100 rounds of
functional pistol ammunition
-7 carbine magazines and 3 pistol magazines minimum
-5 inert carbine training rounds (no A-Zooms)
-Training uniform (ball cap and gloves)
-1st Line gear (rigid belt, sturdy holster, magazine pouches and dump
pouch)
-2nd Line gear (comfortable chest rig or load-bearing equipment capable
of holding 5 carbine magazines)
-Handheld flashlight
-Multi-tool
-Tinted/clear wrap around ballistic eye and electronic ear protection
-Hydration system and energy snacks
-Weapons cleaning kit and quality lubrication
