Rimfire glass

I am looking for a 3-9 with an adjustable parallax, down to ten yards. I would like to keep it under $300 if possible but I am willing to spend a bit more if needed. Squirrels from 15 to 150 yards is the main purpose and it will ride on a 10/22 with the factory target barrel. I had a BSA sweet 22 but it broke, imagine that.

The Leupold VX-II 3-9x33 EFR is a nice scope for a rimfire, although it's more expensive at around $400. Leupold claims it'll focus down to 33 feet (10 meters). I once had one on a custom 10/22 and it had nice clear glass and was well made and finished.

Another vote for the leuopold. I have one on my custom 10/22 build. Very clear glass and the build quality is great...

Thank you for all of the suggestions. I think when the summer rolls around and money becomes a little easier to get it will be either a weaver or Leupold.

Another thing I just noticed was one of the holes that the scope base mounts to is stripped. Is this something that needs to be fixed or will the other 3 be enough to secure the base and scope? And if it needs to be fixed what is the best way to do it?

I would either fill the factory hole in the receiver with J-B Weld and then retap it, or drill a new hole close to the existing and tap it. If you drill a new hole, that means you will also have to drill a new hole in whatever base rail you use and will also most likely have to countersink that hole.
