Brand new poster here, although I have read a bit here over the last few days.

After some thought, I have decided that a Colt LE6920 suits my wants. But, 'ya' know, it's tough to find a new one available for immediate sale. It appears that a person just has to sit tight and await production, then be ready. Guess I'm used to cash being the issue and not production :D

New area of guns for me, I am just learning. Also trying to get a Colt Series 70 handgun and finding that like a difficult task.

Wish me luck guys, and it's nice to be here.

I thought I saw a couple Colts in the most recent CDNN catalog, and at what struck me as a decent price. Worth checking out and seeing if they are in stock at least.

The website is something like cdnninvestments.com or some such. They have a PDF file with the most recent catalog.

Good shootin

Think I checked with them. Out of stock, I believe.

Thanks for the reply.

Tough to find either of them. I shall "endeavour to persevere".

Excellent company.

Thanks much! Looks like they have them "in stock" at 1,249 bucks.

Whittakers (a local) tells me they will have them at 1,009 and to check back "weekly". Not sure what to do. . . but I am much obliged.

At that price I'd check back with them while still scouring Gunbroker, Guns America and various retailers daily via search. You should be able to find one for $1,200 or less fairly soon.

Yes. They told me 849 for the Series 70 and 1009 for the LE6920. Large gun store in Kentucky, hopefully they will come through.

Patience is not my strong suit, but perhaps this will be good exercise for me.

Patience is always a virtue, my friend. Stay diligent and you will find what you are looking for. They're out there under $1,200, just a bit harder to find right now no doubt.

I don't know if you are aware but Colt is starting to produce the same rifle without all the "Anti civilian diatribe" carved into its side. I think that Colt is finally starting to wake up to caring about civilians that want their AR rifles. Its about time.
