This .45 ACP Colt 1991 was customized by C&S in 1999. After an initial sighting-in and function check of 500 rounds, the pistol fired another 1500 rounds during a 40 hour Tactical Pistol class with NO problems.
For most of the next decade, this Colt sat in a call-out bag ready for use, but rarely fired. The total round count is only 2585 rounds. Unlike many 1911’s, to date this Colt has NEVER had a malfunction. This low round count pistol is in great condition and has a documented history of superb reliability.
C&S used a Barsto stainless steel match barrel and bushing, Novak 3 dot night sights, Ed Brown grip safety, C&S ambi thumb safety, Videcki long trigger, predominately C&S fire control and small parts, front strap stippling, carry bevel, flat mainspring housing w/lanyard loop, front grasping grooves, Birdsong Black-T finish. It comes with VZ Operator grips, as well as Pachmayer GM45C rubber grips for those wanting a MEU-SOC feel to their pistol. A Safariland 6004 holster modified for a single strap high ride carry and a Safariland 527 belt slide holster are included.
