I am thinking of picking up a 1911 in 9mm. Probably STI Ranger or Trojan. I am wondering if it works fine with steel case Russian ammo.
Also, what kind of ammo do people have good luck with in their 9mm 1911's?
Do 147gr hollow points feed well?

Thanks!

The only way to find out if YOUR handgun is going to run, especially a 1911, with a certain type of ammo is to test it with that ammo. That said, you can steer yourself in the right direction and use quality manufactured ammo. Wolf may or may not work on your 1911. As for 147gr HP, look at DocGKRs Service Pistol Duty and Self-Defense Loads (https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=19887) for an idea of what is acceptable. Decide what you want to try and test it in your pistol.
