reasonably priced magnifier for aimpoint

Is there such a thing? It seems $500 is a lot of money to drop on a piece of glass that magnifies. What are some lower cost options that function well? Is the MAKO magnifiers any good? Will they fit in the Aimpoint mounts?

if you dont mind ordering from botach,

add the 3x mag with the twist mount package
enter "A3X" and apply
for me, it shows $393

The Mako will not fit the LaRue Tactical QD Pivot Mount, but I do know the Vortex does. I have the Vortex 3X magnifier in a LaRue Tactical QD Pivot Mount. To use the Mako optics you need a mount that comes apart like a set of scope rings. The Larue mount does not open up like that, it is a tight slip fit.

Edited to say the Mako might fit the Aimpoint mount, but it also might not clear whatever BUIS you're using.
