I'm new to Aimpoints and I was just checking their site and was surprised to see the Comp M3 listed under the sporting optic section. That surprised me as I was expecting to see them listed in the military and law enforcement optics section. I guess I bought the wrong model.

They also have it listed in the Law Enforcement section but not in the Military section. My guess would be because it's not night vision compatible. Also in the specs it says it's waterproof, but doesn't say how deep it can be submerged. I think all the military models give a depth. Unless you plan on SCUBA diving with night vision goggles you probably won't ever have anything to worry about.

The c3 is an excellent choice for the civilian end user. Many people here run them and I've yet to hear any negative feedback on th c3.

M3? Or C3? They're different optics, you know.

You can edit the title. Anyhow, you won't be let down. Aimpoint sets the standard in the 1x industry.
