View Full Version : Best buffer for 6.8 with M4 stock?
I hope this is not replowing old ground, but I didn't find the info I'm looking for via Search.
I'm trying to get the best lower I can for a (great!) Ko-tonics 6.8 mid-length upper, and am wondering what you think the best buffer for this upper on an M4 style stock would be (std, H, H2, or H3)?

It is going to depend on the ammo you shoot. The Hornady factory ammo is pretty weak and has problems cycling with the heavier buffers, even the H-Buffer. I would get a regular buffer and an H-buffer and see which one works best. If it works with the H-buffer, use it. I am actually using the Enidine Hydraulic Buffer and it is one of the best $100 I have spent on my 6.8SPC.
Been using Eindine and been great with various loads. Came standard in my DMR.
Thanks much for the info.
I love the 9mm buffer or H3
a regular h buffer will do fine
