This story is a bit late, but I still find it relevant for a post.

The fake EOTechs have been filtering through the market as the real deal. EOTech has even received fake EOTechs as RMA repair since the end user bought the unit at a gun show or on line believing it is the genuine article.

This is just a heads up for everyone to be aware of suspicious sellers or a deal too good to be true.

(I guess they did TOO GOOD of a job of copying Eotech to capture the failures)

My brother in law bought a knock off, it had the same battery life as my 512 and 511. About 3 hours.

I'm pretty sure I bought a MIAD off eBay from this asshole. Serves me right for being overly concerned with the bottom line - I'll buy from reputable American vendors going forward.
