I think it's fair to say that shooting techniques have evolved for the better since this ad was released....

Well if the ad was from 1968 (just a guess) that $189 would be about $1175 today.

I had a early ARnwith thentriangle guards about 1980
Reminded me of my matel life like sound M-16 I had in the very early 70s wish they made toys like that still :)

It is the kind of shit we dreamed about as kids.

Probably '66-'68.

I'm pretty sure the three prong flash suppressor had been replaced by the birdcage by early '68.

I had my first real firearms in the 4th grade, including 9mms and .357s, exactly why couldn't a 4th grader have an airsoft?

I was thinking when I was 6 we had our play M1 and M-16 good old metal cap guns and our GI-Joes
This was in the late 60s

So maybe was more thinking hat young ? :)
