Course: Advanced Gunfighter I

Description:

Advanced Gunfighter I
Course is open to all shooters with the ability to safely complete the training, follow direction
and maintain proper firearms safety throughout the days training events.

Summary:
This course will build/enhance skill’s often overlooked by the standard pistol course or training
experience.
It will cover 3 areas of interest.
1. Extreme close in shooting and weapon skills
2. Shooting from the ground/ground fighting positions
3. Low light shooting.

This course will address areas to make the individual a more complete shooter. The student will have a
better understanding of engagement ranges from contact to maximum effective range, and where the
engagement ends both in normal and low light. This course will cover live fire, dry fire and skill building
drills. The students will be introduced to empty hand techniques, alternate handheld weapons, weapon
and handheld lights and or weapon mounted lights. RSKTKR instructors will cover classroom instruction
to support the following days range and skill building requirements. Tactics will be covered but the main
focus of the training will be to enhance the shooters skills in areas not often trained.

Duration:
The course is a combination of classroom lecture and practical skill evolutions totaling 12 hours.
RSKTKR Medical will train to a standard not a time.

Cost:
$300 per student

Round Count:
500 rounds of handgun
Estimated round count

Equipment List:
· Serviceable Handgun and holster with 3 Magazines and carriers
· Knife (training blade if possible)
· Training gun (red gun, blue gun etc.) Not mandatory
***NOTE: We will have some on hand***
· Eye and ear protection (wrap around eye protection preferred) mandatory
· Knee and Elbow Pads (recommended not mandatory)
· Tactical gear or carry gear (Run in training with what you will use)
***NOTE: We will be fighting from the ground, getting up and down, pounds add up fast***
· Ball Cap/Cover
· Individual First Aid Kit
· Hydration System and food for the day (we will be having lunch at the range)
· Appropriate Seasonal Weather Gear (we will train rain or shine)
· Note taking materials
· Other gear as needed by the student
