My local dealer has a Colt LE6920 for $950 for law enforcement officers. This is brand new in the box. Do you think we may still see some further price erosion or am I a fool for not having already bought it?

Buy it. Not sure where you are but that may not be just for LE. I am not LE, but just bought one at that price(edit-actually it was $995, but close enough). It was just too good to pass up.

Who is your dealer, out of curiosity?

GT Distributors was at $995 last week for the 6920.

Buy it. Prices are pretty unlikely to get much lower than that, especially for such a quality unit.
