I have a line a Glock 19 that was purchased in 2004. This gun has about 200 rounds through it and the owner wants $350 for the gun with 2 mags. When did the light rail become intergrated into the dust cover? If I purchase this gun, I would like to stick a light on it.
Purchase a different glock.
That's a good deal for someone who doesn't want the light rail.

The light rail is part of the 3rd Generation guns. Actually, Glock calls them FGR...
Finger Grove, Rail
That's a great deal for a Glock with that few rounds.

I have a 2nd gen(no light or finger groves) GL-19 for an off duty gun. For a carry gun I prefer the 2nd gen, but for duty I prefer a 3nd gen.
That's a good price for a GL-19. My local gun shop has them for $530.00.

So this gun is not a 3rd generation(made in 2004) with the Finger rail?

You can always find manufacture dates and generational info here.

If it truly was made in '04 it will have a light rail on it and it is definitely worth $350!
Buy it now!
IMO: It would be stuff to beat that deal.
