My Agency is finally starting to get a little more serious about my safety.
They have authorized me to start reasearching soft body armor. If I can find something decent, I will be allowed to purchase it with Agency funds.
It needs to conceal under a uniform shirt. I will only wear it when I am working in conjuntion with a Conservation Officer as muscle to serve a warrant or when I am issuing solid waste citations. I will not normally have to wear it more than one day a week maximum.
Hopefully something that will not induce sticker-shock and give an agency discount.
And recommendations? I am not savvy in this body armor business.
