Sorry if this is the wrong section...

Does anyone know where I can find a K9 harness with a modular webbing design? Does such a product even exist?

If not any recommendations for a decent harness with integrated packs that doesn't cost a fortune like the K9 Storm setup?

If it helps my requirements are pretty simple:
* Enough space to carry a 1 day supply of food.
* Hydration system is a major plus but not a 100% requirement.
* Ability to carry a small first aid kit for the pooch.

This isn't for a professional dog, just something that will allow him to accompany me off the beat path for a day without me needing to carry too much of his gear for him.

Thats good looking pooch! I've got an australian cattle dog that rolls with a ruffwear pack. He uses the "Approach pack" that is just a backpack integrated with a harness. The "Palisades Pack" is a harness and Pack that can be disconnected so you can have one or both. Might be the ticket for you

Never used this stuff. Just turned it up in a quick google search. I wish a trustworthy gear manufacturer like 215 or someone would make something similar.

I was looking at that "Modular LLC Harness" on Signature K9's website but I'm not sure what I think of the leash attachment point being so far rearward.

Check Elite K9, Ray Allen, or just google tactical k9 harness.

I use a Signature K-9 Modular Extreme Duty Harness. I attached a 3 mag pouch with cover flap on each side. My partner now carries a water bottle on each side.

Check Elite K9, Ray Allen, or just google tactical k9 harness.

Elite K9 has some options that would be perfect. I'd like to try something cheaper than $150 though first. I'd hate to spend that much money to find he simply refuses to adapt to carrying any weight. But then again I'd hate to spend 50 bucks for a trial unit just to spend more money down the road.

Does that leave enough room for a second pouch on each side of the harness?

I thought the world was ending when they put 1913 rails on optics.
Now we're putting PALS on our dogs.

Seriously though, have you checked out hiking stores? Existing platforms are available, which are lighter and professionally designed for performance.

LMAO. I know, I know it seems stupid.
But he's a rather muscular mutt and I see no reason why he shouldn't be put to work carrying his own supplies. I'm not being a mall ninja and turning him into an ammo runner, just want him carrying his own days worth of food, water, and maybe a small first aid kit.

Been looking and like many "outdoors" products it is difficult separating the wheat from the chaff. It would seem that the most common among the big name stores is the Ruff Wear gear. I'm sure there is a reason for that and they are still on my short list.

There are three columns of MOLLE loops. The mag pouches each take two. I currently have nothing else mounted on the harness. I carry the rest of the gear.
