Daniel Defense 10.3 upper build question??

I am in the mood to build an SBR upper. The paperwork is in the works, so I have been doing some research. Smartgunner has DD 10.3 barrel groups in Lightweight profile and Gov. profile. Not having any experience with barrels of this length i could use some advice in making a decision. I will be shooting some local matches, running drills and taking some training classes. All for fun! I have other uppers so this is additional treatment for my addiction.

either will be fine, it wont make a difference.

the LW one is just thinner at the gas block and to the bore, but from the gas block back they are the same. One positive side of the gov profile is that there are more gas block options.
But lightweight is in, and chics dig it :D

How much weight can you actually save on a 10.3" barrel??

2-3oz @ most?

I run an 11.5" on my sbr, the weight difference was negligible to me. I went GOV.

Yes the LW barrels are all the rage right now.

I went with a GOV 10.3 because I will be running a suppressor most of the time.
