Looking to build an a1 upper receiver BCM dissipator when they are released. Is the Bushmaster a1 upper receiver with m4 feed ramps good to go or are there better options for an a1 upper?

You'll probably be alright- it's usually other things that cause problems in Bushmasters-ie barrels, BCG's, assembly errors etc.

Thanks for the reply, it's the only one I have found online with the option of m4 feed ramps.

He's looking for an A1 type upper, not a flat top type.

Just to throw it out there for your consideration. You should be okay with feed Ramos on your bbl and not your upper. It is a show stooped to have the feed Ramps on you upper and not your bbl. I have an old SP1 upper and a new BCM bbl on one of my guns.

Great knots here.

I didn't realize the Bushmaster A1 receiver was available with the m4 cuts. I have one I built a patrol rifle off of (without m4 cuts) and have been completely happy with no problems. I just recently decided to build a flat top with RDS for rack use.

I know with the c7 upper(a1 with fa and brass deflector) you can order it with m4 feed ramps but you need to call to get it with them. They are the only ones I know that offer that.

Wish I had known that years ago because I would have preferred having the cuts. Oh well, learn something new.

Yea someone on ar15 had listed the part numbers a while ago. I found out after I bought a c7 upper elsewhere. Haven't built off it yet(thinking of making a 11.5 sbr with one of them) so if I go to do it I'm going to order the bushmaster one.

You're probably fine with the A1. It's their A2 field sights that aren't worth a dog shit in my experience.

The receiver itself is probably good.

Are their A2 sights improperly manufactured or assembled? I've fired a couple plain vanilla A2 Bushies and the sights seemed to be just run-of-the-mill A2's.
