I noticed this today when cleaning. It's a new rifle (month old), and maybe 500 rounds through it.
The 'chip' is just in front of the gas key on the top.
I got the best pic I could. It's on the flat surface of the carrier, just above the bolt itself on the lip of the carrier. It should be visible here.
The 'chip' is almost dead center in each pic.
Is this an issue? I figure if it is, DD will own up and replace, but not sure if it's worth it.
