New ar 15 build

I want to get some opinions on what I should get for my new rifle build? I am caught between having adco build me an upper with a daniel defense 16" barrel and a white oaks armory upper reciever, and a pinned pri front sight block. My other option is less expensive and its a bcm m4 16" upper with a standard front sight base. I would prefer to keep it carbine legnth gas system for the fact i will be putting my surefire m73 rail on it. Any other opinions or suggestions are welcome.

What's the intended usage as it will impact the suggestions?

It would be my go to rifle for home defense mainly. I already have a bushmaster that I bought a few years ago and I am mainly wanting to put together another rifle, built better. I've read alot of good reviews on both bcm and daniel defense so I figured either would make a solid rifle. Either one I chose will have a bcm bolt carrier group.
