View Full Version : Explain Revised Improved Battlesight Zero
I have two AR's that I am going to zero, one is a 16" with a carry handle and the other is a 20" with a carry handle. I've seen different methods, can anyone explain the RIBZ to me, please don't sent me to AR-15.com, I found it confusing.
Check the stickies at the top of this forum, particularly the AR-15 Zeros and Trajectories (https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?p=798061#post798061) thread. Here's an excellent post (https://www.m4carbine.net/showpost.php?p=798061&postcount=2) on the RIBZ by Molon.

In a nutshell, you are raising the drum at the 6/3 or 8/3 base setting so that you are able to use "negative" clicks from that setting. This allows you to use the small peep for 100 yards and up rather than 300 yards an up, while retaining the ability to use the large aperture as normal when set on the 6/3 or 8/3 position.
Details in the other posts.
