The BX got in one of these. They want $870 for it. Is this a decent deal? What work would need to be done to bring it up to a reliable HD gun?

I was thinking about an M&P 45, but the Colt sure is nice. Great two stage trigger; little bit of pre-travel, then a nice sharp break.

Seems like a good deal. It already is a good gun, but you could upgrade it to a more "updated" look. As far as mandatory work I don't really know that you would need anything. If it were me I would add new sights to the gun and a different beaver tail. Beyond that I would imagine that it would be personal preference more than anything....

$870 is a good deal for a series 70 repro. You're not paying the tax since you're at the BX. I would buy it if I was in your position.

Your base is located very close to mine. I guess I'll have to check my BX when I get home from deployment. They usually just stock Taurus, Kimber, and XDs.

Great pistol. Should not need any work to be dependable. That is an excellent price. I presume you're talking about the blued model. If that's the price for stainless, run, don't walk, to get it. A really smokin' deal if stainless.

Here's the one I just purchased. Very pleased with it.
